Academic Background
Mr Rahi completed his surgical training ( CCST ) in Cardiff in 2000.He carried out research at St. Mary's Hospital London and was awarded Masters in Vascular science degree with Distinction by Imperial College London in 1999. Mr Rahi did a vascular fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, USA in 1998. Mr Rahi has a special interest in innovative and minimally invasive surgical techniques: venous ( EVLT ), arterial (Eversion carotid surgery under local anaesthesia ) and Laparoscopic surgery. He is regularly involved in teaching and examination of Manchester Medical School students. Mr Rahi's Royal College of Surgeons of England activities are in the domain of teaching, training and assessments in the role of College Tutor, IMRCS Examiner, Overseas MRCS Examiner, College Assessor and Faculty Tutor for surgical courses.
